School Trips

Manuka Team (Years 0 - 2) visit to MOTAT

The Manuka Team visited Motat.  We saw a wonderful Kiwiana display. We made up a classroom
Treaty and saw the different flags that can represent New Zealand. Some children got to dress up
in Kiwiana clothing. We also enjoyed going on the train and doing lots of other interesting
activities at Motat.

Kowhai Team (Years 3 & 4) visit to Howick Historical Village

Wow! What an exciting trip this was for the Kowhai Team. We visited Howick Village and learnt so much about how life used to be in Auckland many years ago. Did you know that you can make your own  butter? We did and it tasted delicious.
We played lots of games and had so much fun and guess what? No computers! We walked on log stilts, it was all about balancing yourself. We threw and caught rings using a stick.
The old school house was pretty scary. We were all very well behaved. We did a spelling test and the teacher was very strict. She had a big stick but didn't have to use it.
We had a great day!

Kauri Team (Years 5 & 6) visit to Devonport and the Sky Tower

The Kauri Team visited the beautiful town of Devonport and New Zealand's tallest building, the Sky Tower to learn more about Auckland and it's surrounding icons. We had an exciting journey on the ferry, looking at all of Auckland's amazing landscapes and explored the beach at Devonport.
The pupils learnt a lot about the Sky Tower from their tour guide and were overwhelmed by it's scale. We went up to the observation deck and also watched a video about New Zealand's history.
Everyone had a fantastic day!
